Artmagico Acrylic paint markers PREMIUM COLORS 2-3 mm

Artmagico markers with a medium thick tip, which is made of porous fibre and has a width of 2-3 mm. This type of tip does not chip paint even on uneven surfaces. The perfect type of marker for experienced painters and professionals who use them for painting on canvas and other materials or for creating modern calligraphy and painting on larger surfaces. What are acrylic markers?

Acrylic markers contain an innovative water-based ink that can be used on all types of surfaces. Artmagico markers provide a smooth flow of colour, high opacity and bright, consistent colours. In the body of the marker, you will find acrylic ink together with a binder, which is held together by a ball that ensures the correct consistency when rubbed.
Artmagico markers are filled with high quality Italian ink, which ensures the opacity of the colours. The nibs are made in Japan and guarantee long-lasting durability. The resulting product is waterproof and lightfast, so colours remain bright and do not fade.
The high quality ink ensures bright colours that can be mixed together to create additional colour combinations. You can use them, for example, in blending. You can shade with markers only or use ordinary water and brushes to help you work. This technique will make your work absolutely perfect.

First use of acrylic markers

Unlike watercolour or alcohol-based markers, acrylic markers need to be activated. Shake the marker a few times - ideally at least 10 times, then remove the cap and repeatedly press the tip inside the body of the marker until the tip is fully retracted and not visible. Repeat this until the ink has flowed into the tip. This activated marker is ready for use.

Before each use, shake the marker with the cap still closed and then squeeze the tip 2 - 3 times on the prepared paper or other substrate. This will ensure that the paint is sufficiently mixed to ensure excellent covering properties. If you do not shake the marker before use, the ink will be liquid and transparent and will not cover and dry well on non-porous materials. Make sure that mixing occurs even with dark inks, especially when used on porous materials where the greater proportion of binder than acrylic could cause spreading.

What to use acrylic marker for

Due to its specific properties, acrylic marker can be used on all materials - porous and non-porous. Shake the marker well before using it to ensure that the colour is consistent and that you achieve the correct covering effect. Paint on paper, wood, papyrus, plastic, glass, porcelain, ceramics, leather, leatherette, stone and many, many more. When used on non-porous materials such as glass, porcelain, stone and others, mechanical damage to the final work can occur (paint on this material is not abrasion resistant), so you need to fix the final image properly. On porous materials such as paper, wood, cloth and others, you need to shake the marker thoroughly to prevent it from breaking.

Storage of acrylic markers

Acrylic markers should always be stored lying flat to prevent the paint from drying, the tip from drying out and to make it easier to work on other projects. Storing with the tip up can cause the acrylic to deposit at the bottom of the marker, making it more difficult to blend and the paint may not have the proper coverage afterwards; likewise, this storage method can cause the paint to dry out in the tip. Storing the marker with the tip down may cause the pumping mechanism to become clogged. Always store acrylic markers lying flat at room temperature to ensure maximum durability. The ideal temperature should be no lower than 15 degrees and no higher than 27 degrees. The markers should not go through freezing.

Solving the problem with acrylic markers

Dried tip

Acrylic markers can dry out due to improper handling. Acrylic is known for drying quickly, so if you expose the marker tip to air, it can dry out. The tip of the marker will not let the paint into the tip and the paint will bleed around the tip or not get out of the body of the marker at all. This can be prevented simply by always closing and storing markers in the recommended manner and not exposing the tip to air. Always check your markers by snapping the cap shut, even though the marker may appear to be closed, it may not be and by snapping it shut correctly you can prevent the problem of the marker drying out.

If you do happen to get the marker dry, pull the tip out of the marker using a tissue (so you don't get dirty) and place it in warm water. Rinse the tip properly to remove the dried paint from the marker. After cleaning, simply dry the tip and insert it back into the body of the marker and then reactivate the marker.

The paint is watery and does not cover sufficiently

If you find that the paint coming out of the marker is watery and lacks coverage, it is because it is not mixed properly. Close the marker and shake it several times (at least 10 times). Then squeeze the tip of the marker several times to ensure that the paint is already at the desired consistency and you can paint again while ensuring perfect coverage.

Important notices 

Caution acrylic marker is not a toy and is not intended for children. The markers contain small parts - tips or caps - that are easily pulled out by children and can cause choking. The paint contained in the marker is waterproof when dry, so there is a risk of staining clothes, furniture, etc.

When working with acrylic markers, take care when brushing and check that the cap is closed to avoid staining (not only) clothing.

Under no circumstances should the paint come into contact with food to avoid the possibility of ingesting the paint.

In case of unfavourable outdoor temperatures (above 25°C and below 5°C) we do not recommend sending them to outdoor dispensing points. Goods damaged by weather are unfortunately not returnable.
