How to fix acrylic paints on wood
How to use acrylic paint or marker on wood?
The wood doesn't need any special treatment, just keep in mind that you may find the markers splintering on the wood. Therefore, either underpaint the wood with acrylic paint and then work with acrylic markers as you are used to, or alternatively use acrylic markers for a blending effect. For brighter colours, apply two coats. We recommend waiting for the first layer to dry completely before applying the second layer.
Fixation
It is recommended to fix the wood with acrylic water-based clear varnish. The paint should not come into contact with food. If you want to use the wood for practical purposes, e.g. wooden coasters, you can coat the wood with resin. This treatment will ensure better maintenance.
